Frequently asked questions

Where do I have to go?

Unless otherwise agreed, lessons will take place in the MacRobert Building, University of Aberdeen. Here, we have teaching facilities such as whiteboards and brand new Kawai Grand Pianos for teaching.

Can I park at the MacRobert Building?

The MacRobert car park is free for visitors after 4pm. Make sure to use other parking spaces before this time. Public parking is available at School Road, School Drive, Regent Walk or at University Road.

Can I find out more about my teacher?

You can find more information about Tobias Wolf on this website. Use the main navigation of this page to find out more about his work as a teacher, conductor and composer.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No need for preparation. Just bring yourself, a good mood, and an openness to explore your own voice. It may help to bring some manuscript paper, and a sharpened pencil. I aim to pick up every singer from where they are at and provide them with some insight into where and how they can improve. If you wish to speak about a specific point of interest, feel free to leave a comment in the sign up form.

Do I need to pay for my lesson?

Your choir offers funding for one voice lesson for every interested choir member. The payment for this will be arranged between Tobias and the choir, so there is no need for you to think about money. However, should you wish to get more lessons with Tobi or even commit to regular lessons, you would need to pay for these yourself.
