The King’s Studio Orchestra in collaboration with the un poco network offers a conducting scholarship every year to an aspiring conductor who wishes to perfect their skills in front of various music ensembles. The breadth of the scholarship covers score preparation, basics of orchestral management and of course conducting skills, culminating in the scholar conducting the orchestra during a concert performance.
We strive to provide emerging composers with the opportunity to have their works performed in a professional setting by talented musicians. The King’s Studio Orchestra regularly work with composers from all around the globe and commissioned works of new contemporary classical music is play a major part in the orchestra’s programming.
